With our participation in the Challenge Detection of Rijkswaterstaat, we can detect dangerous situations on bridges and alarm the operators on time. With the use of our recently developed detection software we are able to detect different traffic situations. The situational model has been expanded to also work on detecting specific situations on bridges. The Rijkswaterstaat Detection Challenge is part of the Smart Patrol program, that aims to increase security of observation by using vessels, smart cameras and drones. Together with their activities, knowledge institutes and commercial parties all sorts of new technologies are researched that can make their work smarter and faster.
