A human eye can see its surroundings, like a camera. However, it needs a brain to make sense of things. Like recognizing people, finding your stapler and to know what colour your car is. Computer vision software is the brain for a camera.

These objects or patterns range in scope from reading a barcode to recognizing peoples face or even their mood. Computer Vision (Image recognition) is already widely applied in for instance license plate recognition, face recognition and QR code scanning. Now it is possible to integrate Computer Vision to detect useful information in any situation thinkable of that can be captured with a camera or stored in an image.
